In the latest issue of the North American publication Recycling Product News, Hitachi High-Technology's (HHT) Vulcan and X-MET8000 took centre stage. The magazine's  Equipment Focus section zeroed-in on the latest handheld metal analyzers. In the article entitled "LIBS VS. XRF", the two technologies commonly used by scrap metal recyclers were extensively featured by the magazine's Editor-in-chief, Keith Barker. M. Sean McKernan, President and CEO of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Products Limited, provided insights on the right instrument to use in the different metal recycling applications. Mr. McKernan also commented on the technological advances in Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) handheld analyzers.
